Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What's it about?
I hate this question, partially because I don't want to give anything away before people read it, but mostly because I don't have a good answer. It's a fictional story about a few people and their journey to find happiness, in a world that had issues that were a lot bigger than they were.

It questions the nature of perception, how to find happiness, and includes everything you ever needed to know about creating your own religion when the other available options look like they're just making it up as they're going along.

There's a bit more detail here, (but not much) but to avoid having to answer this question, I just put the first chapter online, and you can decide for yourself if you want to read the rest.

But you should read the rest, the ending is brilliant*.

    *I am utterly biased.
  2. Is it any good?
Yes, it's brilliant. Accepted some might think I'm biased, and that actually other perspectives might be useful at this point. It will make you laugh (if your sense of humour is as strange as mine). It will make you cry (if you're a little bit weepy anyway). It contains the Three Simple Truths that help to make everything else in the universe make sense. What more do you need?
  3. Are you really happy that I can just take this if I can't afford to pay for it.
If you genuinely can't afford it - of course. However, as stated elsewhere, if you can't afford it because you've just paid for a better phone, car, house, holiday etc than I can afford, that doesn't count. I'm trying to make a living too.
  4. Is it suitable for children?
Only if they already know some bloody good swear words.
  5. Are you aware "Catastrophe" is spelled wrong on the cover.
Yes. It's a Cat Ass Trophy.
  6. Can I get a paper version, you know, like an actual book?
    Unfortunately not at the moment.
